Company profile

The JPP Group are a multi-disciplinary construction consultancy offering a wide range of unique in-house services to a broad client base. We have teams of Civil and Structural Engineers, Architects, Geotechnical and Geo-Environmental Consultants, Development Planners and Land & Building Surveyors working on projects ranging from small domestic alterations, through to contracts over £30 million.

Job overview

This role is within the Business Support team of Flowerpot Holdings Ltd, the Group’s management company, who provide administration and financial support to the wider JPP Group of Companies. Working as part of the business support team, the role provides financial support to the Senior Management and technical teams across the whole group.

Responsibilities and duties

As an assistant, your role is to assist the Finance Director in the day-to-day financial activities included in the responsibilities listed below along with providing support to other members of the finance and administration teams.

Duties are varied and include but are not limited to:

Purchase invoice processing and purchase orders for companies within the group.
Process sales invoices and maintain credit control.
Reconcile sales and purchase ledgers and provide analysis.
Reconcile supplier statements and contact with any queries.
Assist in accounts payable.
Provide assistance to the Finance Director.
Deal with any accounts related general enquiries.
Reconcile bank accounts.
General bookkeeping activities.
Respond to e-mails within the general accounts email.
Assist with general administrative duties including answering telephones, meeting and greeting visitors, filing and archiving and providing cover for other members of the Business Support team.

Undertaking any other ad-hoc duties necessary to enable the smooth running of the Group.

Qualifications and training

As part of the JPP Group you will attend all mandatory training and be encouraged to attend CPD training offered to all employees by both internal and external trainers.
