Full job description

Every call is a first impression. At Answerpoint, we help businesses across the UK stay connected by answering their calls professionally and representing their brand with care.

We are hiring four friendly, reliable Customer Service Call Handlers to join our telephone answering team in Luton. These are varied roles where you will support different businesses, speak with a wide range of callers and make sure every message reaches the right person.

What you will do

- Answer inbound calls promptly, warmly and professionally.

- Greet callers in each client's company name and follow their call-handling instructions.

- Listen carefully, take accurate messages and send them to the correct person without delay.

- Transfer calls, book appointments and assist with straightforward customer enquiries when required.

- Enter information accurately while speaking with callers.

- Handle busy periods calmly and maintain a consistently high standard of service.

- Protect confidential information and follow company procedures.

- Work closely with colleagues to provide reliable cover for our clients.

What we are looking for

- A confident, polite and professional telephone manner.

- Excellent listening and communication skills.

- Clear spoken and written English.

- Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry.

- Reliability, punctuality and good organisation.

- Confidence using computers and learning new systems.

- The ability to switch between different client accounts and instructions.

- Previous customer service, reception or call-handling experience is preferred, but training will be provided.

- Permanent, office-based role in Luton.

- Full-time or part-time hours available.

- Starting pay: £12.71 per hour.
