Children’s Home Deputy Manager

Salary: £34,097 per annum, rising to £35,680 following successful completion of your probation period.

(The maximum job rate potential is £37,873 which is performance related).

Location: King’s Lynn, Norfolk

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 37 hours per week

About the Role:

We are seeking a Deputy Manager who consistently demonstrates strong leadership and effective people management skills, while always prioritising the care and wellbeing of our young people and developing those crucial, trusting relationships.

Working closely with the Registered Manager, you will play a key role to help shape the culture, standards, and daily operations of the home. You will provide clear leadership to the team, model outstanding childcare practice, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, child-centred care in line with regulatory and organisational standards.

You will play a crucial role in building and maintaining a therapeutic, trauma-informed environment where young people feel safe, valued, and supported to achieve positive outcomes. You will supervise a team of Senior Support Workers and Support Workers, ensuring that children and young people are supported in their physical, psychological, emotional, and social development.

In partnership with the Registered Manager, you will ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations and other essential statutory requirements, including safeguarding and health and safety standards.

Key skills:

Diploma/NVQ Qualified (Minimum Level 3) in a social care related subject.
The ability to inspire and motivate your team and young people within the service.
Promote a culture of high standards and excellent performance.
A caring, compassionate and resilient nature.
