Job Title: Kitchen Assistant

Salary: £13.83 per hour Plus Incentives

Hours: Full-Time Permanent Contract. 3-4 days per week including alternate weekends (8am-6pm)

Location: St Andrew's Nursing and Care Home, Sleaford, NG34 9PL

About St Andrew's

St Andrew's is located in the lovely village of Ewerby (5 miles to the East of Sleaford). The home is set around a lovely old vicarage, which has been selectively extended in keeping with its character. This provides the homeliness that Jasmine seeks for its homes, whilst still providing modern living accommodation. The home provides personal care, including nursing and dementia care, for 42 residents.

Role Responsibilities for Kitchen Assistant:

Assisting in preparing, cooking and serving meals to our residents
Assist in washing and cleaning kitchen equipment and surfaces
Acting in line with health & safety and food hygiene guidelines
Promoting our resident's choice, dignity and independence and all times

Role Requirements for Kitchen Assistant:

A good reason or experience that has drawn you to working in a care setting
Live within 20 minutes of the Home
Willing to contractually sign up to an NVQ Level 2 in a relevant qualification
Team player
Ability to work under pressure
Good time management
Good written and oral communication skills
A willingness to go above and beyond to meet the needs of our residents
A positive and enthusiastic outlook
One years' experience in a similar role (preferred)
One years' experience working in a residential or nursing home. (preferred)
Hold a relevant level 2 or 3 qualification (preferred)
Knowledge of health and safety in the workplace (preferred)
