Full job description

Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and detail-focused Production Operative to join our timber door manufacturing team. The role involves assembling and finishing high-quality timber doors using hand tools, working from technical drawings, and ensuring all products meet strict quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Assemble and manufacture timber doors using a range of hand tools
Read and interpret basic technical drawings and job specifications
Measure, cut, and fit timber components accurately
Carry out sanding, finishing, and preparation of timber products
Conduct quality inspections to ensure products meet company standards
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
Follow all health and safety procedures, particularly when handling timber and tools
Report defects, damages, or production issues to supervisors

Skills and Experience:

Experience in woodworking, carpentry, or a manufacturing environment (preferred)
Competent in using hand tools such as saws, chisels, drills, and sanders
Good attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
Ability to read and understand basic technical drawings
Physically fit and able to handle timber materials
Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team

Working hours:

07:30-16:30 Monday – Thursday

07:30-13:30 Friday
