We are now looking for a Trainee Contracts Coordinator to join our team in Cupar. This is an exciting early-career opportunity for someone looking to build a career in a fast-paced, commercial environment within the rural sector.

About the role

As a Trainee Contracts Coordinator, you will support our experienced team in delivering a high-quality service to our members. You’ll gain hands-on experience across a range of activities, learning how we coordinate contracts, support and facilitate member to member trading, and manage relationships across the industry.

This is a development role, where you will be supported to build your knowledge, confidence and skills, with a clear pathway to progressing into a Contracts Coordinator position.

What you’ll be doing

With full training provided, you’ll:

Support the coordination and trading/sale of agricultural products and services between members
Assist with sourcing and arranging haulage for a range of goods
Help manage and respond to member enquiries via phone, email and in person
Build relationships with members, suppliers and colleagues
Support coordination of temporary workers
Accurately record bookings and enquiries using our internal systems
Provide general administrative support
Learn to identify business opportunities and market trends
Contribute to a positive, team-focused working environment

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone motivated, reliable and keen to learn. You don’t need previous industry experience - just the right attitude and transferable skills.

You’ll ideally have:

Good communication and interpersonal skills
A proactive approach with a willingness to learn
Strong organisation and time management skills
Basic IT skills (e.g. Microsoft Office)
The ability to work both independently and as part of a small team
A flexible and adaptable approach

It would be great if you also have:

An interest (and/or experience) in agriculture or rural business
Experience in customer service, sales or administration
An interest in sales and customer service
Full UK driving licence and access to your own transport
