Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Receptionist to join our veterinary practice. This role is essential in providing exceptional client service and ensuring the smooth operation of our front desk. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for pet owners and visitors, responsible for managing appointments, handling enquiries, and supporting administrative tasks. Prior veterinary or reception experience is highly desirable to assist with client communication and record management. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive and professional environment.

Responsibilities

Greet clients and visitors warmly, creating a welcoming atmosphere
Manage appointment scheduling efficiently using our practice management software
Answer phone calls and respond to email enquiries promptly and professionally
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including medical histories and billing information
Handle payment processing and invoicing with attention to detail
Assist with administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and stock organisation
Coordinate communication between clients, veterinary staff, and laboratory personnel
Ensure the reception area remains tidy, organised, and professional at all times

Requirements

Previous veterinary experience is highly advantageous
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
Proficiency in using computer systems and practice management software
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within the practice

This role requires a motivated individual committed to delivering outstanding customer service while supporting the clinical team. The position offers valuable experience in a dynamic veterinary setting, ideal for those looking to further their career in animal care or veterinary administration.
