Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care, assist the dental team during procedures, and ensure the smooth operation of daily clinic activities. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a professional healthcare environment, supporting patients through their dental journey with care and organisation.

Responsibilities

Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilise instruments in accordance with health and safety standards
Provide pre- and post-treatment care instructions to patients
Maintain accurate patient records using IT systems and ensure confidentiality at all times
Support patients through appointment scheduling, reminders, and follow-up communications
Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the dental practice environment
Handle administrative duties such as managing stock levels of dental supplies and equipment
Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and external healthcare professionals to facilitate seamless care delivery

Experience

Previous experience as a Dental Nurse or in a similar healthcare support role is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Knowledge of patient care protocols within a dental setting
Proficiency in IT systems relevant to healthcare documentation and appointment management
Strong communication skills to interact empathetically with patients and team members
Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment
Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is required to ensure clear communication with patients and staff
