Full job description

We are a small, friendly landscape gardening company looking for a reliable and organised Personal Assistant & Office Assistant to support the day-to-day running of our business.

This is a varied role that would suit someone who enjoys administration, takes pride in accuracy, and is happy to turn their hand to a wide range of office tasks. You will work closely with the business owner and play an important role in keeping the business organised and running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Purchasing materials and liaising with suppliers.
Checking creditor and debtor invoices for accuracy.
Assisting with accounts administration and record keeping.
Drafting and transcribing professional emails to customers, employees and suppliers.
Maintaining accurate records and filing systems.
Obtaining and comparing annual insurance quotations for the business and vehicle fleet.
Supporting the owner with general administrative and personal assistant duties.
Assisting with other office tasks as required.

Essential Skills & Experience

Previous administrative or office experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Well organised, methodical and able to prioritise workload.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Professional, trustworthy and able to work independently.

Desirable Skills & Experience

Experience using QuickBooks.
An understanding of, or previous experience within, the landscaping, construction or gardening industry.
Experience working in a small business environment.

You have a proactive approach, are comfortable juggling a variety of tasks, and take pride in producing accurate, high-quality work. You communicate professionally with customers, suppliers and colleagues and are always willing to help where needed.
