Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and patient Tutor to provide personalised educational support to students across various age groups. The successful candidate will play a vital role in helping learners achieve their academic goals through engaging and tailored instruction. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about education and working with children to make a positive impact on students’ learning journeys.

Duties

Deliver customised tutoring sessions in specific subjects, adapting teaching methods to suit individual student needs
Assist students in developing effective study skills and organisational strategies
Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback to both students and parents where appropriate
Prepare educational materials and resources to enhance learning experiences
Foster a supportive and encouraging environment that promotes confidence and motivation in learners
Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other educational professionals to ensure consistent support for students’ development
Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, attendance, and progress reports

Requirements

Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, preferably with children or young learners
Knowledge of special education needs and strategies for inclusive learning environments is desirable
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and patiently
Passion for education and helping students succeed academically
Organised, reliable, and able to adapt teaching approaches to diverse learning styles
Previous experience working with children is advantageous but not essential; a genuine interest in supporting young learners is essential
Ability to commit to scheduled tutoring sessions consistently
DBS (preferably on update service) and right to work documents
Minimum Bachelors degree in your subject specialism OR 2+ years teaching experience or QTS
2 professional references

Pay: £20.00-£40.00 per hour
