Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Kitchen Porter to oversee the cleanliness and organisation of our busy kitchen environment. This role is vital in supporting our culinary team to deliver high-quality food service in a fast-paced hospitality setting. The ideal candidate will ideally possess strong kitchen experience, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to maintaining hygiene standards. T

Responsibilities

Lead the kitchen portering team in maintaining cleanliness and organisation across all kitchen areas
Ensure all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned, stored, and maintained according to health and safety standards
Assist with basic food preparation tasks as required, supporting chefs during busy service periods
Manage waste disposal efficiently and ensure recycling protocols are followed
Support the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations before and after service
Monitor stock levels of cleaning supplies and notify management when replenishments are needed
Uphold strict hygiene standards throughout the kitchen environment at all times
Collaborate closely with chefs, kitchen staff, and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth operation

Skills

Ideally a experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment with a focus on kitchen operations
Knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques is advantageous
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Excellent attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and safety standards
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Previous experience in serving or hospitality roles is beneficial but not essential
