Full job description

Sheet Metal Factory Assistant / Trainee

Location: DJM Sheet Metal

Position Type: Full-Time

Start: Immediate

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking individual to join our busy sheet metal factory and start learning the trade. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to build a long-term career in fabrication and ductwork manufacturing.

Role & Responsibilities:

Assisting skilled sheet metal workers on site and in the workshop

Helping with ceiling installation and holding ducting in position

General factory duties and housekeeping

Measuring, marking and preparing materials

Using hand tools safely and correctly

Supporting fabrication, assembly and installation tasks

Jumping in where needed to help keep jobs moving

Requirements:

Must be able to use basic hand tools

General knowledge of workmanship and practical skills

Good attitude and willingness to learn

Reliable and punctual

Physically fit (role involves lifting and manual work)

Able to work as part of a team

Pay:

Wage will be reviewed after a three-month trial period
