Ready to hit the road with a job that’s all about delicious food, great vibes, and spreading sandwich joy wherever you go? The Street Diner is on the lookout for an energetic and enthusiastic Jiffy Van Driver to join our team and help us bring our tasty creations to customers far and wide!

About Us: At The Street Diner, we serve up more than just sandwiches – we deliver fresh, flavorful experiences that keep our customers coming back for more. Whether we’re catering to hungry workers every day or delivering the perfect snack to a new spot, our team is always on the move. If you're the kind of person who loves being out and about and loves being on the go, then this is the role for you!

Your Role: As a Jiffy Driver, you'll be our sandwich delivery superstar and the heartbeat of our mobile operation. Your day will start and finish at our depot near hexham where your designated van will be kept. You’ll be responsible for ensuring your van is stocked and our sandwiches get delivered, and new ideas and customers are brought into the fold. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

Loading the Jiffy vans – Keep the vans fully stocked with our freshly prepared food, snacks and drinks needed for the day ahead. You'll make sure everything is in its place so our Jiffy vans are always ready to roll.
Delivering sandwiches to customers – You’ll be out on the road, hitting your targets delivering our delicious sandwiches and snacks to customers across the area. Whether it’s catering orders or deliveries to loyal regulars, you’ll make sure everything arrives fresh, hot, and on time.
Building relationships with customers – You’re not just delivering food – you’re also building relationships! You'll be the friendly face our customers look forward to seeing, and you’ll work on keeping them engaged and excited about The Street Diner.
Bringing in new ideas – We love fresh ideas! If you’ve got a knack for spotting new opportunities, whether it's a potential delivery spot or creative ways to get people talking about our sandwiches, we’re all ears.
Growing our customer base – As you hit the streets, you’ll also be scouting for new customers, expanding our reach, and spreading the word about our amazing sandwiches and service.
Team collaboration – You’ll be working closely with the rest of the crew to make sure everything runs smoothly, from stocking the vans to meeting customer needs.

What We’re Looking For:

Full, clean driving licence – You’ll be behind the wheel, so a clean driving record is a must.
Friendly & personable – You’ll be the face of The Street Diner on the road, so we need someone who’s approachable and loves chatting with customers.
Self-motivated & reliable – You’ll be working on your own a lot, so being proactive and dependable is key.
Passionate about food – You’ll be delivering some of the best sandwiches around, so a love for good food is essential.
Creative & outgoing – If you’ve got ideas for new delivery spots or ways to grow our customer base, we want to hear them!
Organised & detail-oriented – You’ll need to keep the vans stocked, deliveries on time, and everything running like clockwork.

The successful applicant needs to be a self-starter with a charismatic, outgoing personality and to have exceptional customer-service skills. Please evidence experience you hold that supports these requirements.
This role requires long hours, typically starting at 6:30am and working until around 4:30pm with occasional overtime work, are you okay with this?
