Bella Vita Authentic Italian Restaurant – We’re Hiring!

WAITRESS / WAITER WANTED

Due to our restaurant becoming increasingly busy, we are looking for one additional team member to join our friendly team.

Duties include:

Greeting and serving customers
Taking food and drink orders
Providing excellent customer service

Helping create a welcoming dining experience for our guests

Join our growing team and be part of something special! Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and seat them promptly, providing menus and answering initial questions about the menu offerings.
Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted and accommodated.
Serve food and drinks efficiently, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality.
Upsell menu items where appropriate to enhance guest experience and maximise sales.
Check in with guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns promptly.
Handle payments accurately using the point-of-sale system, providing correct change and receipts.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of tables, service stations, and dining areas throughout shifts.
Follow food safety standards diligently, including proper handling of food and beverages.
Assist in food preparation or kitchen duties when required, supporting overall restaurant operations.
Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods.

Experience

Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and basic food preparation skills are advantageous.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tables simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills with a friendly, approachable manner.
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately.
Experience with upselling techniques to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about delivering outstanding guest experiences within a dynamic restaurant environment, eager to learn new skills, and committed to teamwork and professionalism.

Pay: £12.50 per hour
