Full job description

Working Full time: 37.5 hours per week

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic Transformation Team, providing high ‑ quality project and administrative support across a wide range of transformation, productivity and Cost Improvement Programme (CIP) initiatives.

You will take the lead on tracking, monitoring and reporting transformation and CIP projects, maintaining robust documentation, coordinating meetings, taking minutes and actions, and supporting governance processes. By providing this dedicated support, you will enable project managers and clinical and non ‑ clinical leads to focus on hands-on delivery and achieving improvements at pace.

The role will work flexibly supporting multiple workstreams, contributing to service redesign, operational and workforce transformation, and wider improvement activity across the Trust.

You will be highly organised, confident working with data and documentation, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast ‑ paced environment. You will have excellent attention to detail, strong IT skills (particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and the confidence to work with a wide range of stakeholders.

Previous experience of working in the NHS and supporting projects or programmes is essential. An interest in transformation, improvement or productivity work would be an advantage.

Providing comprehensive administrative and project support to transformation and productivity programmes

Maintaining project documentation, trackers, reports and central information repositories

Supporting the production of highlight reports, programme updates and governance papers

Coordinating meetings, workshops, training sessions and rapid improvement events

Supporting risk and issue tracking and monitoring progress against milestones

Working closely with clinical and non‑clinical teams to support effective delivery of change

The Trust’s services are provided from three locations:

The Countess of Chester Hospital: providing 473 general and acute beds.
Ellesmere Port Hospital: providing 60 beds as a rehabilitation, intermediate and outpatient facility.
Tarporley War Memorial Hospital: a base for community services which serve the local rural population.

The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust employs 5,964 staff (headcount) to provide care and treatment to a population of over 400,000 people living in Chester and West Cheshire which includes Ellesmere Port and Neston as well as the Deeside area of Flintshire.

The Trust works collaboratively within the wider Cheshire and Merseyside Integrated Care System. Due to its location on the border with North Wales, the Trust also works closely with the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.

The Trust treats patients from England and some parts of Wales. During 2024/2025, there were approximately 643,000 patient attendances (inpatient, A&E, outpatient and diagnostic) ranging from a simple outpatient appointment to major cancer surgery.
