SUPPORT WORKER (BOSCAWEN FARM)

Are you kind and caring, with a passion for helping others? Do you love being outdoors and enjoying the fresh air?

If so, United Response wants to hear from you! We are looking for hard-working and compassionate people to join our team at our busy Boscawen Farm service, situated halfway between Redruth and Truro.

LOCATION: Boscawen Farm, Blackwater, Truro, Cornwall, TR4 8EZ

HOURS: Part-Time (18hrs) available

SALARY: £13.25

Who We Are

United Response is a registered charity, founded in 1973, whose mission is to ensure that individuals with learning disabilities, mental or physical support needs have the opportunity to live their lives to the full. We support around 2000 people in over 300 locations across England and Wales, and employ over 3,600 staff.

Boscawen Farm is one of the ways we aim to give the people we support the opportunity to get outdoors and enjoy different activities such as animal care, horticulture, basic maintenance, crafts and cookery in a farm setting. Through the running of different creative sessions on our 45-acre farm, United Response works to provide the high-quality person-centred approach to social care that we are so passionate about.

Any experience or interest in the following would be a bonus:

As a Support Worker on Boscawen Farm, you will:

Work with the people we support in a range of activities
Assist with the daily running of an outdoor rural Hub
Encourage the people we support to try new things
Help create a fun and lively environment
Track outcomes to ensure that the people we support make progress.
