Customer Service & Accounts Assistant

Hours 0900-1500

Location: York

About Us

York Warehouse & Distribution Transport Ltd is a growing logistics and warehousing company providing reliable transport, storage, and distribution services across the UK. As members of the Palletforce network, we pride ourselves on delivering excellent service and building strong relationships with our customers.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Customer Service & Accounts Assistant to join our team and support our transport office.

The Role

This role will support the day-to-day running of our office, helping with customer enquiries, administration, and invoice organisation. You will work closely with the transport team and accounts to ensure customers receive a professional and efficient service.

Key Responsibilities

Handling customer enquiries via phone and email.
Providing updates on deliveries and resolving customer queries.
Supporting the transport team with customer communication.
Filing and organising invoices and assisting with account documentation.
Maintaining accurate customer and delivery records.
Assisting with general office administration, including insurance claims for freight.
Supporting the team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Requirements

Previous experience in customer service, office administration, or logistics preferred but not essential.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
