Timber Garden Building Installer (Log Cabins / Garden Rooms)

Location: Scotland & Northeast England (Field-Based)
Pay: From £15.00 per hour (DOE)
Job Type: Full-Time – 40hrs Per Week - Immediate Start

Overview

Anchor Timber Buildings are seeking an experienced Timber Garden Building Installer to join our installation team. This role involves installing a range of outdoor structures including garden sheds, playhouses, log cabins, and garden rooms across Scotland and the North East of England.

This is a hands-on, travelling role suited to someone with joinery or woodworking experience who takes pride in high-quality installations and excellent customer service.

Travel & Overnight Stay Requirement

This role requires regular working away from home, including overnight stays during the working week / weekend.

Accommodation and meals are fully provided
Travel across Scotland and Northeast England
Seasonal weekend work required

Key Responsibilities

Install timber garden buildings to a high standard
Lead installations from start to completion, including customer handover
Carry out repairs and maintenance when required
Work effectively as part of a team on-site
Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently
Work at height when required
Complete all job paperwork and documentation accurately
Provide a professional and courteous service to customers

Requirements

Minimum 2 years’ experience in timber building installation, joinery, or woodworking
Strong experience with log cabins, sheds, or garden rooms
Confident using hand and power tools
Ability to follow instructions, plans, and schematics
Comfortable working outdoors and at height
Full UK Driving Licence (essential – applications without will not be considered)
Willingness to travel and stay overnight regularly
Good teamwork and communication skills

Desirable

Previous experience leading or supervising installation teams
Groundworks experience (preferred but not essential)
