Repair Coordinator

Macclesfield
Full-Time | Permanent

About the Role

We are looking for a highly organised and customer-focused Repair Coordinator to join our busy gas and electrical repairs team.

This role is responsible for coordinating repairs from initial diagnosis through to completion, ensuring engineers, customers, and suppliers are kept informed throughout the process. A key part of the role involves managing the administration of parts orders, monitoring outstanding repairs, arranging appointments, and providing excellent customer communication.

You will act as the central point of contact between engineers, customers, suppliers, and the operations team, helping to ensure repairs are completed efficiently and with minimal delays.

This is an ideal role for someone with experience in the gas, heating, electrical, or property services sector who enjoys organisation, problem-solving, and delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Repair Coordination

Manage repair jobs from diagnosis through to completion
Review engineer reports and identify follow-up actions required
Coordinate return visits and ongoing repair work
Prioritise urgent breakdowns and vulnerable customer cases
Monitor outstanding jobs to ensure timely completion

Parts Administration

Process parts requirements submitted by engineers
Order parts from approved suppliers
Track deliveries and update job records accordingly
Liaise with suppliers regarding availability, delays, and delivery dates
Maintain accurate records of all parts ordered and received
Ensure repairs are rescheduled promptly once parts become available

Customer Communication

Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding ongoing repairs
Provide regular updates on repair progress and parts availability
Arrange appointments and return visits
Manage customer expectations and resolve queries professionally
Deliver excellent customer service throughout the repair process

Engineer Support

Communicate daily with engineers regarding job progress and parts requirements
Coordinate schedules and appointments where required
Ensure engineers have the information needed to complete repairs efficiently

Systems & Administration

Update CRM and job management systems accurately
Maintain detailed notes and records on all repair jobs
Monitor outstanding actions and follow through to completion
Produce updates and reports for management
Support continuous improvement of repair processes

About You

We are looking for someone who:

Has experience within the gas, heating, electrical, property services, or repairs sector
Is highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities
Has excellent communication and customer service skills
Is confident dealing with customers, engineers, and suppliers
Has strong administration skills and attention to detail
Can work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Enjoys problem-solving and taking ownership of tasks
Is confident using computer systems and learning new software

Experience Required

Essential

Previous experience in a repairs, scheduling, customer service, or coordination role
Strong administrative and organisational skills
Experience communicating with customers and field-based engineers
Experience working within a fast-paced service environment

Desirable

Experience within gas, heating, plumbing, electrical, or property services
Experience using CRM or job management systems
Knowledge of repairs processes and parts ordering
