Full job description

Chef of all abilities required at The Parlour Café and Restaurant, Bredy Farm, Burton Bradstock, Dorset, DT6 4ND.

We are an Italian-Mediterranean inspired restaurant specialising in Italian food cooked over wood and charcoal, freshly made Neapolitan style pizzas, homemade breads, fresh fish, unique and traditional salads, plus much more.

We're looking for someone with previous kitchen experience and a passion for food.

Duties:

Preparing ingredients (washing, chopping, measuring, portioning)
Assisting chefs with basic cooking tasks
Following recipes and kitchen instructions accurately
Maintaining cleanliness of workstations and equipment
Storing food safely and rotating stock (FIFO)
Supporting food service during busy periods
Monitoring food quality and presentation
Adhering to food hygiene and safety standards
Helping with deliveries and stock organisation
Learning kitchen procedures and developing culinary skills

The right candidate will be:

Capable of working in fast paced, high stress environments.
An excellent communicator and team player.
Experienced working as a chef.
Ambitious and hard working.
Passionate about food and providing high quality food and service.

The offer:

Pay is dependant on experience, plus you will get holiday pay, tips and service charge.
Ideally working around 40-50 hours a week, maybe a few more over the summer spread across a 7 day week in summer and a 4.5 day week in winter.
Relaxed and fun working environment.
Parking on site.
28 days holiday a year.
Staff food from menu.

Live music and bars on site, open during the summer.
