Full job description

Job Overview
We are looking for a part-time self employed book-keeper in the Harrogate/Wetherby area to manage the financial records for a small building contractor.

Duties

Manage and maintain accurate financial records using SAGE 50 accounting software. A company laptop is available for this.
Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently
Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial data is up-to-date
Process monthly payroll using HMRC Basic PAYE Tools
Prepare financial reports and summaries as required.
Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns
Prepare and submit monthly CIS returns
Process year-end closing procedures and submit to Accountant
Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and organisational policies.

Requirements
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar finance role
Proficiency in SAGE 50 accounting software programme
Strong understanding of accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger functions
Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail
Good communication skills
A recognised qualification in accounting or finance is desirable but not essential

This role provides an excellent opportunity for a self-employed book-keeper wishing to increase their client base.

Pay: £20.00-£25.00 per hour

Bookkeeping: 5 years (required)
