Introduction

The Fire Protection Association (FPA) is the UK's leading fire safety organisation and an independent not-for-profit dedicated to protecting people, property, and the environment from fire and other risks. Since 1946, we have been helping to improve fire safety standards through research, consultancy, training, testing, and risk management services.

We're looking for a Qualifications Administrator to join our Training and Education team and play a key role in supporting learners throughout their qualification journey.

In this varied role, you'll manage learner registrations, maintain accurate records, support assessment and quality assurance activities, administer our Learning Management System (LMS), and act as a first point of contact for learner enquiries. You'll also support the management of academic malpractice and maladministration cases, investigating cases whilst ensuring processes are followed fairly, consistently, and in line with regulatory requirements.

We're looking for someone with previous administrative and educational experience, strong communication skills, excellent organisational abilities, and a commitment to accuracy and quality.

Work Location/Hours

Head Office

Hours: Full Time, 35 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

As a Qualifications Administrator, you will:

Act as a first point of contact for learner enquiries, providing professional support via email and telephone.
Support learners throughout the qualification lifecycle, from registration through to certification.
Maintain accurate learner records and ensure data is processed securely and in line with internal procedures.
Administer learner access to our Learning Management System (LMS) and support continuous improvement of system processes.
Liaise with assessors, Internal Quality Assurers (IQAs), and awarding organisations to support the timely delivery of qualifications.
Support assessment, quality assurance, and external verification activities.
Manage learner registrations, withdrawals, and certification claims.
Investigate academic malpractice and maladministration in line with internal and third-party procedures.
Produce and maintain accurate records, reports, and audit trails.

Key Education and Experience

Essential

GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent).
Previous administration experience.
Strong IT skills and experience using databases or bespoke systems.
Experience maintaining accurate records and processing data with a high degree of accuracy.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Experience working within an education, training, awarding organisation, or qualifications environment.
Understanding of academic integrity, malpractice, and maladministration processes.

Desirable

Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Familiarity with Turnitin or similar academic integrity tools.
Experience supporting quality assurance or compliance-related activities.
