Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of equipment to ensure optimal operational efficiency. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical background who enjoy hands-on work and problem-solving. Applicants must be capable of working independently and as part of a team, demonstrating excellent customer service skills when interacting with clients and colleagues alike.

Duties

Diagnose and repair mechanical faults across a range of machinery and equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
Perform routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to carry out repairs, assembly, and modifications.
Interpret technical drawings and schematics to facilitate accurate repairs and assembly tasks.
Conduct heavy lifting where necessary, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment or machinery.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
Provide excellent customer service by offering technical advice and support when required.

Qualifications

Proven experience in mechanical repair or maintenance roles.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, schematics, and assembly processes.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools.
Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately.
Physical capability for heavy lifting and working in physically demanding environments.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Strong communication skills suitable for customer interactions and teamwork. This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to apply their mechanical expertise in a dynamic environment while delivering high-quality service and maintenance standards.
