Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter and Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying paint, varnishes, and other finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail. This role involves working on diverse projects, from residential to commercial properties, and requires a strong understanding of colour matching, surface preparation, and decorating techniques. The successful applicant will contribute to creating aesthetically pleasing environments while maintaining safety standards on site.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling holes, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
Apply paints, varnishes, stains, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment with precision and care.
Interpret project specifications and work from drawings or instructions to meet client expectations.
Ensure all work is completed within specified timeframes while maintaining high standards of quality.
Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress or any issues encountered during work.
Assist in the organisation of materials and tools required for each project to optimise efficiency.

Requirements

Proven experience in construction painting or decorating is highly desirable.
Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation between sites.
Good command of English language for effective communication with clients and team members.
Strong communication skills to understand project requirements and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to painting and decorating activities.
Attention to detail with a keen eye for colour matching and finishing quality.
Physical fitness to undertake manual tasks such as lifting equipment and working at heights if necessary.

Please not that this position is on a CIS basis.

Rates are negotiable depending on experience.

Van with fuel card for correct candidate

Pay: £18.00-£21.00 per hour
