Full job description

Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to patients. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work collaboratively within a pharmacy environment.

Duties

Accurately dispense medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Provide exceptional patient care by answering queries regarding medications, dosages, and administration.
Build a good rapport with patients face to face and over the phone.
Maintain accurate records of medication dispensation and inventory management.
Assist in the preparation and packaging of medications, including compounding where necessary.
Collaborate with pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to ensure optimal workflow and patient safety.
Monitor stock levels of medications and supplies, placing orders as needed to maintain inventory.
Uphold cleanliness and organisation within the pharmacy environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Previous experience as a pharmacy dispenser or in a similar role.
NVQ L2 Dispensing is a MUST.
Strong knowledge of medication administration procedures and patient care practices.
Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
