Job Description:

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Breakfast Chef to join our culinary team at Montigo Resorts, Charlton House in Somerset. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of breakfast dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about food preparation and culinary arts to contribute to a welcoming dining environment. The Breakfast Chef will work closely with the kitchen team to deliver a memorable breakfast experience for our guests, maintaining safety and hygiene standards at all times.

Duties

Prepare and cook breakfast dishes according to recipes and presentation standards
Assist in menu planning and ingredient selection for breakfast offerings
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
Manage food stock levels, organise storage, and minimise waste
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment and work surfaces
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction
Monitor cooking times and temperatures to guarantee optimal quality of all dishes served
Assist in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety procedures
Ensure adherence to health and safety policies at all times

Experience

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a chef within a restaurant or hospitality environment
Knowledge of kitchen operations, including meal preparation, food safety, and hygiene standards
Experience working with breakfast menus or in a fast-paced kitchen setting is desirable
Familiarity with culinary techniques, food presentation, and serving practices
Previous experience in restaurant or catering services will be considered an advantage
