Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a Leathercrafts Person to join our dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the production process by assisting with assembly tasks and focusing on stitching of belts and bags.

Full training will provided on all aspects - This position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. We are far more interested in the right attitude than experience - we need someone who is proactive, full of initiative, a quick learner, and team player. If you are the DIY king/queen in your house, the person people call when any machines need fixing or have a passion for crafts, this could be the ideal role for you.

Duties

Buckling and stitching belts and handbags on 3 different industrial sewing machines - some of which are programmed and automatic.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow throughout the production line.
Assisting in keeping a clear and organised workspace, organising hard ware stocks.
Light assembly work and finishing on products, such as stamping sizes and branding, swing tagging, belt loop making, using rivets and eyelets, small part edge finishing.
Personalising bespoke orders

Qualifications

Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Ability to work well within a team as well as independently when required.
Friendly attitude and positive team player.
A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and continuously striving for self improvement.

This is initially a maternity cover role, with a guaranteed 9 months, however as a growing business we hope to be able to offer this as a permanent role.

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
