The Nitty Gritty:
We work in our office on Hale Road, Hale, Altrincham. So if you want/expect full remote working this role isn’t for you!
It's bright, colourful, fun and you'll be equipped with cutting edge tech/software!
We pay full-time salary but our working hours are 8am to 6pm - Monday to Thursday - which means you don't work Fridays!
You'll slide seamlessly into our Team and be person numero uno for running the day to day overseas accounting team. We're a tight knit, small-ish team with an average age in the mid 30’s.
You’ll be learning loads very quickly from working with the founding partners. For the right person we will provide a study support package if you are part qualified. This is NOT a trainee position though…you will be expected to have a solid working knowledge of the basics and be able to produce a set of accounts and corporation tax return without help….ideally be able to produce a personal tax return too….
The team is based in the UK mainly but some of the team are Abroad.
We’re very forward thinking here…..not your typical stuck in the mud boring accountancy practice.
IMPORTANT: We’ve just recruited a Head of Marketing.
So we need to strengthen our accounting team so we are ready for world domination…well North West anyway :-) That’s why we need you!

What we need is someone whose purpose it is to drive real value for clients and deliver amazing work so Krystal Clear Accounting are world class across every touch point. So clients love us, stay long term and more importantly are raving fans.
We are only looking to work closely with approx. 100 clients and effectively be there outsourced FD/Fractional FD whatever you want to call it.
You will have to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in to make this happen.
We currently have clients across the board, some compliance only, where we meet with them usually via zoom once a year (Oh yes, we were ahead of the technology curve and using zoom way before the pandemic).
However, we have a lot of clients we meet with monthly or at the very least quarterly. Helping with the help of technology to advice where they are now, what is possible and help them to lives their best life.
Initially your role will be to support the partners by managing the overseas team in terms of reviewing work (accounts, tax & Bookkeeping) and helping to train the team (overseas and in the UK). To share best practice and get involved in projects with software and AI. Suggesting improvements to remove the boring & repetitive stuff, upskilling yourself and improving the business and the day to day to make it be more fun.

As Accountant/Semi Senior/Senior Accountant/Client Manager (We are not big on titles – it’s what you deliver that matters) for Krystal Clear Accounting.
You'll be delivering 1st class quality Accounts Production, Corporation Tax, Bookkeeping, Payroll & VAT work (you’ll have a team doing this – you will review, oversee, manage and train and occasionally need to get stuck in).
You’ll be delivering tax work in terms of SATR/Personal Tax production. Also delivering basic tax and ad hoc client support. Don’t worry if you can’t do this or haven’t had much experience we will train you….
Ad hoc client support questions could be software based, we love xero but clients use QuickBooks, free agent and others, so if you have experience of implementing/using these, so much the better
You'll be in control of the day to day compliance (for now). And as such... you need to know what you're doing! We’ll be training you though on how to deliver real ADVISORY and get loads of fantastic commercial experience with the potential to progress to “PARTNER/BUSINESS OWNER” for the right candidate in time.

- You'll have the technical abilities to review accounts, corporation tax returns and produce SATR’s (personal Tax returns)
- Deal with client queries ranging from Tax to accounts and software
- Be commercial and able to run Annual Review Meetings and spot opportunities to up serve clients and talk to them about those outcomes and services
- You’ll have the skills or at the very least the desire to work with clients closer and later on to advise them on growth strategies (Don’t worry training can be provided if you don’t have these skills)
- Be curious and want to grow and develop
- You'll have an 'eye' for what looks good (and what doesn't!)

Platforms you'll be using: Well you can tell us, but this is what we think from experience
- Digita/Tax Calc – for Accounts Production/Tax
- Xero & QBO – advanced level though – know how to use the dashboards, integrate apps and produce bespoke reports out of the reporting packages – definitely need to know your way competently around these bookkeeping platforms
- Fathom/Syft and other software for delivering client growth advice and adding value (The Gap/Clarity)
- Know what a CRM & workflow Management system is and how you can use it to streamline operations (ideas rather than actual knowledge of how to do it) We use a white label version of Go High Level for CRM and Onkho for practice Management
- HMRC Gateway – goes without saying really…..
At Krystal Clear Accounting you have responsibility for Accounts production and managing the client queries. The ability to input into Clients lives and change them for the better!

WHAT YOUR TYPICAL* DAY WILL LOOK LIKE:
7:50am: Cruise into A Krystal Clear Accountancy Car parking Space (if you come by car)
7:55am: Grab yourself a coffee
8:01am: Log on, clear that inbox – Review the plan you’ve developed for you and your team for the work this week and month and make sure you are still on track to deliver
8:20am: Review the previous days Accounts Production work the overseas team have done and deliver back any updates/improvements/changes needed
9:30am: Bathroom Break (you can do this whenever you want this is just an example!!)
9:40am: Do your first 1 to 1 with an overseas team member so you can feed back on the review work you have just completed
10:40am: 2nd 1 to 1 of the day to feed back with overseas team member 2.
11:00am: Plan your responses to client queries from yesterday afternoon/this morning and hit the phone to deliver the answers.
12:00pm: LUNCH (the first day’s on Kim!)
12:30pm: Walk/Fresh air
1:05pm: Finalise all client query calls if appropriate or deal with HMRC stuff Maybe Pull together a list of what has come in, in the morning, and what help if any you need from the team!
2:30pm: Bathroom Break! (again... no pressure to schedule these!!)
2:40pm: Review notes ahead of Annual Review Meeting, make sure you’re ready with the facts and what you’ll discuss and with software you’ll use…etc
3:00pm: Annual Review Meeting with client
4:00pm: Out of meeting, time to update various systems with notes and schedule actions and accountability next steps with the client as appropriate.
4.30pm: Prep for next day’s Client meetings/work.
5.30pm: Review next day’s Plan/amend as appropriate for the next day
6:02pm: Log off and head home!
*every day will be different and you'll be in charge/responsible for your schedule :)

It’s crucial you are eager to learn and make an impact. This is not a trainee role though, as you will be responsible and targeted to deliver on client impacts. You do need to be at least part way through your studies
