Engraving Assistant

John Greed Jewellery is an online jewellery retailer that personalises and dispatches all of our orders from our Lincoln warehouse.

Location: Firth Road Warehouse, Lincoln
Pay: £14.30 per hour
Working Hour: ranging between 07:30 - 18:00 7 days a week
Contract: Casual (Christmas Peak Season September to December)

The Festive Perks

£14.30 per hour
Casual contract for the Christmas peak period
Shifts available up to 45 hours per week

Available Roles Engraving Assistant (Firth Road Warehouse)

Operate laser engraving machines to create high-quality engravings that achieve or exceed KPIs
Use polishing machines to finish engraved items to a high standard while observing safety precautions
Utilise Adobe Illustrator to create vectors for customer orders when required
Ensure mistakes and wastage are reduced to an absolute minimum through careful inspection
Assist with picking, packing, and dispatching orders to meet festive demand
Maintain a safe and clean working environment, specifically in the laser and polishing rooms
Support the wider warehouse team with general duties to ensure smooth operations

It is important to note that this is not a massive, impersonal warehouse operation; instead, we are a specialised site focused on the careful picking, packing, and personalising of individual jewellery items for our online customers. We expect a formidable work ethic from every team member as we strive for excellence. While we pride ourselves on being a supportive and inclusive family that feels like home, we are united by a relentless drive to work hard and deliver Christmas joy.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for hardworking new team members who are:

Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Google Docs, Excel, and the ability to learn new software
Possess manual dexterity and a high attention to detail to ensure every piece of jewellery is perfect
Able to work safely and calmly under pressure in a fast-paced festive environment
Holders of a laser safety certificate are a plus, though full training will be provided to all successful candidates
Dedicated team players who are exceptionally reliable and committed to delivering Christmas joy

Previous warehouse or customer service experience is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.
