Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Chef de Partie to join our prestigious culinary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in preparing and delivering high-quality dishes, ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a passionate culinary professional to showcase their skills within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The Senior Chef de Partie will be responsible for supervising junior staff, maintaining food safety standards, and contributing to the creation of innovative menus.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily food preparation and cooking processes in designated sections of the kitchen
Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality, presentation, and taste
Supervise and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment
Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
Assist in menu planning, ingredient sourcing, and stock control to minimise waste
Ensure timely delivery of orders during service periods, managing workload effectively
Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new recipes and improve existing dishes
Monitor kitchen cleanliness and organisation, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
Support training programmes for junior team members to enhance their skills and knowledge

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation within a professional kitchen environment
Strong culinary skills with a comprehensive understanding of food safety regulations
Excellent organisational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
Good communication skills to effectively supervise and motivate team members
Previous experience working in a restaurant or similar hospitality setting is highly desirable
Knowledge of serving procedures and customer service principles is advantageous
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities whilst maintaining attention to detail
