Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Part-time Chef to join our culinary team. This role involves preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts and experience in food preparation, with the flexibility to work during evenings and weekends as required. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a professional kitchen setting.

Duties

Prepare ingredients and cook meals according to specified recipes and standards
Assist in the planning and presentation of daily menus
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
Ensure all food is prepared efficiently and served promptly to meet customer expectations
Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management
Follow health and safety procedures diligently, including proper handling of food and equipment
Support serving staff during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow

Experience

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or catering environment
Knowledge of culinary techniques and meal preparation methods
Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices
Previous experience working in a kitchen setting, ideally with restaurant experience
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Experience with serving food is advantageous but not essential; willingness to assist in serving is expected

This role provides an engaging environment for those passionate about cooking, offering opportunities to refine culinary skills while contributing to a welcoming dining experience.

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
