Coffee Shop Team Member -Esposito's Court Hey Park, Huyton L16 3NA

At Esposito's, we love to create a welcoming environment with a family feel for our team members as well as our customers. We're looking for a someone with a hard working attitude who is friendly, positive person who loves working in a fast paced environment.

Full training is given but ideally we would like our candidates to have a minimum 12 months working in a hospitality or retail environment. Barista experience is welcome but you will be given full training to our very own brand standards. Being open minded and willing to learn is key - a passion for Coffee, Cake, Ice Cream - all food & drink is ideal!

Requirements Summary:

Flexible for shifts between 8am-6pm across Monday to Sunday
Available for overtime and flexible to work different days
Experience in the hospitality or retails sectors is ideal
High Standard Barista experience welcome
Must enjoy working in a fast paced environment

Job Briefing

As a member of the Front of House Team based at our Court Hey Park Coffee Shop you are working as part of our customer facing team providing excellent customer service to everyone who comes into our outlets. You will be representing the Esposito’s brand and company values. Working under the guidance of the Coffee Shop Hospitality Leaders your job will be hands-on in all areas including tasks such as taking orders, serving food, drinks & ice cream and maintaining a clean & pleasant environment for customers & staff and end of shift deep clean downs.

To be successful in this role you should have experience of providing excellent customer service, be able to work in a fast-paced environment and work as a team player.

Key Responsibilities & Personal Attributes

Key responsibilities will include taking customer orders and payments, this will involve being trained on using the till to process payments correctly. Serving ice cream, food and drink to brand standards and eventually learning how to make coffee with our in-house barista training. There will be cleaning responsibilities to company standards such as clearing tables, washing up and the end of day clean down. Training for all these tasks will follow a step-by-step process with full support from the Hospitality Leaders and team members.

Candidates with barista & food serving skills are welcome to apply but training will be given. A passion for coffee, good food and giving a great customer experience are most important.

Important qualities we are looking for in the successful candidate is someone able to work well as part of a team with the ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced customer facing environment. Keeping up a good pace of work to clear queues during busy periods is a key attribute in this role. Having good communication skills to support the flow of service and solve problems if they arise.

Being punctual & presentable is a responsibility of all team members across the company, personal hygiene is of the utmost importance. Arriving at work in a timely manner to start your shift and having time to read through any team briefings is an important part of the working day to ensure things run smoothly.

Being flexible and willing to work overtime will be a requirement of this role.

Other Duties & Responsibilities are:

* Support with the day-to-day operations of the coffee shop.

* Use till systems - Taking orders accurately and processing payments.

* Availability to work within opening hours (including weekends & holidays)

* Flexible to work across 7 days (Monday to Sunday)

* Team player who can work under pressure.

* Always adhere to standards set by the Food Safety Agency and ensure that all staff follow the SFBB (Safer Food Better Business) guidelines.

* Promote new items and upsell products to customers.

* Excellent communication skills

* Punctual & Presentable at all times.

* Ensure all café areas are clean and tidy.

* Nurture relationships with customers to increase loyalty and boost our brand reputation.
