Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service in a fast-paced restaurant environment, ensuring every customer has a memorable dining experience. This role offers an opportunity to develop your skills within the hospitality sector, working alongside a dedicated team committed to excellence. Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided. The position is paid and suitable for individuals passionate about food service and guest relations.

Duties

Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted
Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
Check in with guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns promptly
Handle payments accurately using the POS system and provide correct change or receipts
Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and surrounding areas during shifts
Assist with setting up and clearing tables as needed
Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations diligently
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders

Experience

Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques is desirable
Familiarity with serving procedures, upselling strategies, and guest services enhances performance in this role
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
Experience working in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating adaptability and professionalism

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
