Full job description

Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Food Runner / Service Staff to join our dynamic hospitality team. This role involves delivering exceptional guest experiences through efficient service and support in a fine dining restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food service, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail. Previous experience in hospitality, food preparation, or related fields is advantageous. This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills within a vibrant team dedicated to culinary excellence and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Deliver prepared dishes promptly from the kitchen to guests’ tables, ensuring presentation standards are maintained.
Assist with food service
Replenish supplies and organise service stations to maintain cleanliness and efficiency throughout shifts.
Provide attentive guest services by answering questions about menu items, accommodating special requests, and ensuring guests’ needs are met courteously.
Support baristas or bartenders during busy periods by delivering beverages and assisting with basic drink service.
Uphold food safety standards by handling dishes carefully and maintaining hygiene protocols at all times.
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to coordinate orders and optimise service delivery.
Assist with general cleaning duties in dining areas, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests.

Qualifications

Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or related roles is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is advantageous.
Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette and guest interaction abilities.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
A friendly demeanour with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
Basic food preparation or culinary experience is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
