MSK Physiotherapist — New Malden (Permanent, Full-Time)

About us

J&J Therapy is a specialist hands-on physiotherapy clinic in New Malden, where manual therapy is at the core of everything we do. Our therapists spend the majority of each session delivering high-quality, skilled manual treatment — not just prescribing exercises. Located on the ground floor of CI Tower, a 2-minute walk from New Malden station, we are equipped with modern facilities including shockwave therapy, therapeutic ultrasound and electrotherapy. With 300+ five-star Google reviews, direct contracts with 7 major UK private medical insurers (Bupa, AXA Health, Aviva, Vitality, Allianz, WPA and Cigna), and a steady flow of both insured and self-paying patients, we have built a trusted name in our community.

We are looking for an MSK Physiotherapist with strong manual therapy skills to join our growing team. This role suits clinicians ranging from 2 years' post-qualification experience through to senior level (5–10+ years).

The role

Salary: £36,000 – £48,000 per year, depending on experience, qualifications and manual therapy competency
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week — approximately 33 hours of clinical (patient-facing) time plus around 7 hours for treatment notes and room turnaround
Schedule: 3 days 09:00–18:00 and 2 days 10:00–19:00, with a 1-hour lunch break
Generous treatment time: Follow-up sessions range from 30 to 90 minutes — you decide the appropriate length. No rushing through 15-minute appointments.
Clinical autonomy: Manage your own caseload and treatment approaches, with support from our clinic director and senior physiotherapist (10+ years' MSK experience)

Key responsibilities

Perform comprehensive MSK assessments and deliver effective hands-on treatment for a wide range of outpatient musculoskeletal conditions
Deliver high-quality manual therapy as the core component of treatment (joint mobilisation, manipulation, soft tissue techniques, myofascial release, neurodynamic mobilisation)
Develop and implement individualised rehabilitation plans and monitor progress
Maintain accurate, timely clinical records in line with HCPC standards
Support accurate insurance billing through Healthcode
Contribute to the development of our clinical protocols and treatment pathways

Requirements (essential)

HCPC registration as a physiotherapist
Full CSP membership
Minimum 2 years' post-qualification experience in outpatient MSK physiotherapy
Demonstrable hands-on manual therapy skills
Excellent communication and a compassionate, patient-centred approach
Commitment to maintaining thorough, accurate clinical records

Desirable

Advanced manual therapy qualifications (MACP, McKenzie MDT, Mulligan, Maitland or equivalent)
Shockwave therapy, dry needling/acupuncture, clinical Pilates, paediatric MSK, women's health, or sports/Swedish massage experience
Experience with private medical insurance billing
Korean or an additional language is an advantage (given our multicultural patient base)
