Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and dedicated Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise, leadership skills, and passion for hospitality in a vibrant environment. The Chef will play a vital part in delivering exceptional dining experiences while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and presentation.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards.
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow.
Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency, presentation, and adherence to health and safety regulations.
Lead food preparation activities, including ingredient selection, portioning, and cooking techniques.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with hygiene standards.
Manage inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and minimise waste.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Train new team members on food safety procedures, cooking techniques, and customer service standards.
Monitor food quality during service periods and make adjustments as necessary to uphold standards.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Demonstrable supervising experience with team management capabilities.
Strong knowledge of food production, preparation, cooking methods, and presentation skills.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
Leadership qualities with a proactive approach to problem-solving and team development.
Good communication skills to coordinate efficiently with team members and front-of-house staff.
Previous experience in restaurant service or catering is highly desirable.
