Full job description

Annual Salary £50,000 Pro rata.

Hours 32-40 Must remain flexible to meet the needs of the business.

Number of days x 4 but with flexibility to work 5 if required.

Criteria for Eligibility as our Responsible Individual

A Clean UK drivers licence

Our care homes are based in Blaenau Gwent it is essential that you should live within a reasonable driving distances of the homes.

Criteria you must have relevant Senior Director leadership management experience within the residential childcare sector and hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services -CYP Residential Management. Prior experience as an existing RI or Operational Director/Manager /Head of Care.

You must have sound knowledge and a background in -

Quality Monitoring & Assurance.

Quality of Care

Performance Management Systems

Referral Systems and databases.

Impact risk Assessments and the referral process for admitting a new child.

Care Home Systems

Safeguarding Protocols for CYP

Prior DSO group C training.

Coaching and Mentoring in best practice

Equality and Diversity

Th promotion of the Welsh Active Officer.

Good effective communication and people Skills

Business development and multi agency third party working.

The ability to review and up date care home policies.

Competent at representing a company at a professional business level.

Law Abiding

Key Responsibilities

The RI must:

· oversee the management of the service

· assure that the service is safe and well run

· assure that the service complies with the service standards and regulations

· make sure that the service has a manager, sufficient resources and support to provide a safe effective service that enables service users achieve their personal goals.

· Assess Monitor & Review, improving the quality of the service ( care) & support .Reg 80

· Promoting a Culture Of Openness & Accountability

· To ensure a strong focus on individual Well Being Outcomes

· To promote the importance of effective supervision and staff development.

· Ensuring that service users have a voice

· Improving Well Being by monitoring & assessing the impact of the services on the childrens lives.

· Increasing accountability by assuring clear alignment between, leadership, culture & wellbeing.

Good professional communication skills are essential for this job role.
