Job Introduction

We are looking for a reliable, detail-focused Cleaning Operative to help maintain a clean, safe and audit-ready manufacturing environment. If you take pride in high standards and enjoy working as part of a supportive team, we want to hear from you!

About the Role:

You will be responsible for maintaining exceptional cleanliness standards across our site. Working within designated areas, you’ll follow daily task schedules and ensure all cleaning records are completed accurately to support compliance and audits.

Please note, the working hours for this role are Wednesday - Sunday, 5AM - 1:30PM.

Key Responsibilities:

Toilets

Clean and sanitise sinks, basins, and surrounding areas
Polish taps and mirrors
Refill soap and toilet paper dispensers
Wipe tiles, paintwork, and air vents
Thoroughly mop floors

Offices

Vacuum carpets and spot clean where needed
Dust, sweep, or damp mop hard floors
Sanitise desks, furniture, keyboards, and telephones
Clean fixtures, skirting boards, and window ledges
Remove marks from walls, doors, and surfaces

Reception & Meeting Areas

Vacuum carpets and mop floors
Clean and polish desks and surfaces
Empty bins and dust all fixtures
Clean stairs and sanitise railings
Wipe high-touch areas and frames

Corridors & Stairs

Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors
Clean stairways thoroughly
Sanitise fixtures, skirting boards, and ledges
Polish door handles and remove marks from surfaces

Canteen

Empty bins and manage recycling/food waste
Clean kitchen appliances, including dishwasher
Sanitise tables and touchpoints
Restock supplies (tea, coffee, milk, etc.)
Vacuum and mop floors

Factory & Warehouse

Mop designated walkways
Clean and sanitise handwash stations, barriers, and walls

Periodic Tasks

Deep cleaning (floors, walls, and barriers)
Tasks may involve manual handling and working at heights (up to 2m using step ladders)

What we are looking for:

Previous cleaning experience (preferred but not essential)
High attention to detail and commitment to standards
Ability to work independently and follow instructions
Reliable, punctual and flexible
Comfortable with physical tasks and occasional work at height
Ability to drive and have access to a vehicle due to Cawingredients being based in a remote location.
