Full job description

At WHISK Matcha, we’re looking for friendly, enthusiastic team members who are passionate about creating exceptional customer experiences. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy working as part of a close-knit team, and take pride in maintaining high standards, we’d love to have you.

Key Responsibilities

Preparing and serving high-quality matcha drinks and other menu items.
Delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for every customer.
Working efficiently with the team during busy periods.
Handling customer enquiries professionally and using problem-solving skills to resolve issues where appropriate.
Maintaining cleanliness throughout your shift by tidying as you go.
Completing daily cleaning duties to ensure the café is clean and ready for the next day.
Following food hygiene and health & safety procedures at all times.
Assisting with opening and closing duties as required.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who:

Has excellent customer service skills.
Is a confident problem solver who remains calm under pressure.
Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively.
Is reliable, hardworking, and takes initiative.
Maintains a positive attitude and pays attention to detail.
Is happy to keep their workspace clean and contribute to end-of-day cleaning tasks.

Experience

Previous barista experience is preferred.
If you don’t have barista experience, previous experience working in hospitality (such as cafés, restaurants, or customer-facing roles) is preferred.

Availability

Applicants must be available to work a mixture of early and late shifts, including:

Early Shift: 10:00am – 4:00pm
Late Shift: 4:00pm – 10:00pm (final hour for cleaning)

Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, and busy periods is highly valued.
