Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving beverages, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. This role offers an opportunity to work in a lively environment where attention to detail and a positive attitude are essential. Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is preferred, along with a strong understanding of food safety standards. The successful applicant will be passionate about hospitality and dedicated to ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company standards.
Greet guests warmly and take drink orders efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service.
Ensure the bar area is clean, organised, and complies with health and safety regulations.
Manage cash transactions accurately using the POS system.
Restock bar supplies and monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages.
Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, including special promotions or new products.
Handle guest inquiries professionally and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
Follow responsible serving practices, including checking IDs and adhering to licensing laws.

Skills

Proven experience in hospitality, particularly as a bartender or in food service roles.
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service.
Excellent serving skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
Good organisational skills to keep the bar area tidy and well-stocked.
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
Effective time management to handle multiple orders during busy periods efficiently.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to interact courteously with diverse guests. This role offers an engaging work environment where your hospitality skills can shine, contributing to memorable guest experiences while developing your career within the industry.
