Part-Time Administrator

Location: Chessel Support Services, Head Office, Southampton
Hours: 16.5 hours per week (flexible working pattern)
Contract: Permanent

Join Our Team

Chessel Support Services is looking for a friendly, organised and motivated Part-Time Administrator to join our Head Office team.

This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You will provide administrative support across a range of departments, helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the office and supporting the wider management team.

This is a job share opportunity, working alongside an experienced Part-Time Administrator. You will work closely together to ensure continuity across the office, making good communication, organisation and teamwork essential.

As part of our Head Office team, you will be supporting a health and social care organisation that provides services to vulnerable adults. The role includes regular contact with service users, their families, healthcare professionals and colleagues, so professionalism, compassion and excellent communication skills are essential.

The role is 16.5 hours per week, with flexible working days and hours to suit both the successful applicant and the needs of the business. We are happy to discuss a working pattern that works around other commitments where possible.

Key Responsibilities

General office administration.
Answering telephone calls and responding to email enquiries.
Preparing letters, reports and other documentation.
Maintaining accurate electronic and paper records.
Data entry across a range of internal systems.
Supporting recruitment and onboarding administration.
Filing, scanning and document management.
Ordering office supplies and maintaining stock levels.
Supporting managers with a variety of administrative tasks.
Maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information.
Undertaking any other reasonable administrative duties as required.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

Has previous administration experience (preferred).
Is confident using computers and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Has excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Has good written and verbal communication skills.
Can manage their own workload and prioritise tasks effectively.
Is reliable, professional and able to maintain confidentiality.
Works well as part of a team.
Is willing to learn new systems and processes.

Experience within the health and social care sector is desirable but not essential.
