Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Qualified Pitch and Flat Roofer to join our professional roofing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining both pitched and flat roofs on a variety of commercial and residential properties. This role requires a strong understanding of roofing systems, safety procedures, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The position offers an excellent opportunity for those with a background in construction and roofing to utilise their specialised skills while contributing to high-quality project outcomes.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain pitched and flat roofing systems using appropriate materials and techniques.
Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installation.
Operate power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, and fabrication machinery safely and effectively.
Conduct roof inspections to identify issues such as leaks or structural damage.
Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects within specified deadlines.
Assist with carpentry, masonry, plumbing, or other construction-related tasks as required for roofing projects.
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards.
Maintain a clean and organised work site throughout each project.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a pitch and flat roofer within the construction or roofing industry.
Strong knowledge of roofing systems, including materials such as felt, asphalt, EPDM, TPO, or similar products.
Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately.
Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication machinery.
Experience with carpentry, masonry, plumbing, or general construction is advantageous.
Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting and working at heights on roofs.
Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety standards.
Relevant certifications or qualifications in roofing or construction are preferred but not essential. This role is ideal for dedicated professionals looking to advance their career within the roofing industry while working on diverse projects that utilise a broad range of skills.

Pay: £100.00-£220.00 per day
