Full job description

Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and personable individuals to join our team as Bar Staff. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a vibrant hospitality environment, delivering excellent service to our customers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, strong organisational skills, and a friendly demeanour. Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Duties

Serve drinks and food to customers in a courteous and efficient manner
Take orders accurately and handle cash or card payments responsibly
Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including sanitising surfaces and glassware
Restock supplies and ensure the bar is well organised at all times
Monitor customer behaviour to promote responsible drinking and safety
Assist with setting up and clearing tables during busy periods
Follow food safety and hygiene standards in all aspects of work
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation of the venue
Manage time effectively during peak hours to serve customers promptly

Requirements

Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred but not mandatory
Strong understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Excellent serving skills with a friendly and professional attitude
Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
Ability to work well under pressure during busy periods
Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively
A personable nature with excellent communication skills
Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
