As demand for our services continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Estimator to join our team and play a key role in helping us deliver accurate, competitive quotations and exceptional customer service.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to become a key member of a close-knit, growing business where your experience will make a real difference.

Your primary responsibility will be preparing accurate quotations for fire and security projects using information gathered from customer enquiries, site surveys and technical specifications. Our senior team will continue to carry out customer meetings and site surveys, allowing you to focus on producing high-quality estimates and helping us improve quotation turnaround times.

You'll work closely with the wider team to ensure projects are accurately priced, commercially viable and ready for a smooth handover into delivery.

Projects may include:

Fire Detection & Alarm Systems
CCTV Systems
Intruder Alarm Systems
Access Control Systems
Emergency Lighting
System upgrades, extensions, repairs and new installations

Key Responsibilities

Prepare accurate quotations for fire and security projects.
Review site survey information, drawings, specifications and customer requirements.
Obtain supplier quotations and evaluate equipment options.
Produce detailed scopes of work and cost breakdowns.
Liaise with engineers and the senior team to clarify technical requirements where needed.
Identify value engineering opportunities while maintaining compliance and quality.
Support the smooth handover of successful quotations into project delivery.
Maintain accurate estimating records and quotation revisions.
Attend site occasionally where additional technical information is required.

About You

We're looking for someone who takes pride in producing accurate, well thought-out quotations. You'll be naturally organised, methodical and detail-orientated, with the ability to assess technical information, identify what's missing and ensure every quotation is complete, accurate and commercially sound.

At least three years' experience estimating within the fire and security industry (or a closely related sector).
Strong technical knowledge of fire alarm, CCTV, intruder alarm, access control and emergency lighting systems.
A good understanding of British Standards and industry best practice.
Excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Competence using Microsoft Office and estimating software.
A full UK driving licence.

Desirable

FIA or manufacturer product training.
Knowledge of SSAIB and/or BAFE requirements.
Experience pricing both small works and installation projects.
