Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Italian Food Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in authentic Italian cuisine, demonstrating exceptional food preparation and cooking skills. This role involves overseeing the preparation of traditional Italian dishes, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. The successful applicant will bring leadership, creativity, and a strong understanding of hospitality to deliver an outstanding dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook authentic Italian dishes with attention to detail and presentation standards
Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to recipes and procedures
Manage food production processes, maintaining consistency and quality across all dishes
Oversee food safety practices in compliance with health regulations
Lead team management activities, including training, mentoring, and performance monitoring
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Maintain organised workstations and ensure cleanliness throughout the kitchen area
Assist in menu planning and development of new Italian culinary offerings
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for ingredient procurement

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment specialising in Italian cuisine
Supervising experience with a focus on team management and leadership skills
Strong understanding of food safety standards and regulations
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Knowledge of food production processes and restaurant operations
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards
Hospitality experience with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service
Leadership qualities to motivate and guide kitchen staff effectively
Experience in serving guests or front-of-house duties is advantageous but not essential
