Full job description

Are you a detail-oriented logistics professional with a passion for customer service and supply chain coordination? We are looking for a Logistics Administrator to join our team in Brighton. In this role, you’ll manage the end-to-end expediting process to ensure timely delivery of customer orders while maintaining exceptional service standards.

You will provide an efficient and accurate administration service within logistics, ensuring orders are shipped on time, tracked and relevant documentation is provided in a timely manner to effect delivery. Challenges and issues are overcome with strong communication and updating all interested parties in relevant time. Identifying concerns and issues that require escalation in order to ensure the service is provided.

You must live close enough to get to the office daily. You must already have the right to work in the UK.

The job would include:

Issuing export documentation (Commercial Invoice, Packing lists, Certificate of Origin, Certificate of Insurance etc
Co-ordinating freight according to Inco terms
Issuing invoices on Sage
Manage profit and loss on freight
Manage, communicate and resolve issues to the country managers satisfaction
Complete transfer of data as required for monitoring and reporting purpose
Ensure that records are up to date and accurate whilst complying with the Quality Management System
Arrange pre-shipment processes as per individual country requirements
Monitor shipments with freight forwarders and escalate concerns as necessary.
Provide assistance in all areas of the Logistics Department as requested by the Logistics Manager

What We’re Looking For:

Strong background in customer service and logistics experience (Full training provided)
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office 365
Detail-oriented, organised, and capable of managing multiple priorities
Able to work well under pressure and collaborate effectively with different teams
Familiarity with CRM systems and logistics tracking tools is desirable
French speaking is desirable

After the initial training period, we shall expect to see ability in problem solving, providing solutions and being able to identify when a matter should be escalated to the Unit Manager.

Educational Qualifications:

A-levels or higher.

Technical and Technological:

The right personal attributes are more important than previous experience as full training will be given, however, the following would be beneficial: Knowledge of supply chain especially logistics, geographical knowledge of West Africa.

Specific Working Experience:

Must have strong IT skills with good working knowledge of Excel being essential.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritise a full workload.
Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
Able to communicate quickly and efficiently via email and telephone.

The role will suit someone flexible who enjoys working in a very dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Able to work under own initiative, manage own workload after appropriate training period, but also be a strong team player.
Diplomatic and effective communicator and be able to communicate between cultures, countries, and communicate clearly where English is a second language.
Understanding the importance of deadlines, and acting quickly in urgent situations.
