Early Years Room Leader – Pre‑Toddler

Shooting Stars Nurseries – Bromsgrove (B61 0AE)
£15.30 per hour (£31,824 per annum)
Full Time – 40 hours per week | Permanent

Monday–Friday | 7:30am–6:00pm
All-year-round setting | Closed on bank holidays

Are you an experienced Room Leader, Senior Nursery Practitioner, or aspiring leader ready to take the next step?

Shooting Stars Nurseries in Bromsgrove is seeking a confident and passionate Pre‑Toddler Room Leader to lead a well-established room and deliver outstanding care and learning during one of the most important stages of development.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape practice, lead a team, and make a real impact in a supportive, well-resourced nursery with strong leadership and a clear focus on quality.

Your Role as Room Leader

As a key member of our leadership team, you will:

Lead the day-to-day running of the Pre‑Toddler room, ensuring high standards at all times
Inspire, support and develop a team of practitioners, apprentices and students
Act as a Key Person, building strong partnerships with parents and carers
Plan and oversee engaging EYFS-led activities tailored to under 2s development
Support children’s emotional wellbeing, communication and early development milestones
Maintain excellent standards in safeguarding, health & safety and compliance
Drive continuous improvement, reflective practice and Ofsted readiness

What We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role, you will have:

A Level 3 (or above) Early Years qualification (full and relevant)
Strong experience within a nursery or early years setting
Previous experience as a Room Leader or Senior Practitioner
Excellent knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding and child development
Experience supporting inclusive practice and SEND
Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop a team
A calm, organised and professional approach with a genuine passion for early years
