Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop specialised skills in food and beverage preparation while ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all customers.

The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing drinks, maintaining cleanliness, and providing exceptional service to enhance the overall customer experience.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, in accordance with company standards.
Handle food safety procedures diligently to ensure compliance with health regulations.
Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring prompt service.
Maintain cleanliness of the coffee station, equipment, and seating areas throughout shifts.
Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including light snack assembly or packaging.
Manage cash register operations, including processing payments accurately using cash or card systems.
Provide friendly and attentive service, addressing customer queries and feedback professionally.
Restock supplies as required to ensure smooth operation during busy periods.
Uphold hygiene standards by adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Barista is highly desirable
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is desirable.
Ability to perform serving duties efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude.
Basic skills in food preparation and handling of beverages are advantageous.
Good time management skills to handle multiple orders during peak times effectively.
Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanour to engage with customers confidently.
Ability to work well within a team in a fast-paced environment.

Hours of work 10am to 6pm over any 7 days per week. We can offer a flexible work schedule

Pay: £12.71 per hour
