Full job description

Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Pub Manager to oversee daily operations of our country Pub. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a comprehensive understanding of food and beverage management. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team, ensure exceptional customer service, and maintain high standards of food safety and cleanliness. The successful applicant will have a background in restaurant or hospitality environments, with relevant supervising and team management experience.

Duties

Manage all aspects of pub operations, including staff scheduling, stock control, and financial oversight
Supervise and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer service
Oversee food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety standards
Coordinate the preparation and serving of food and beverages, ensuring quality and presentation meet company standards
Implement training programmes for staff on culinary techniques, food safety, and hospitality best practices
Maintain a welcoming environment by engaging with customers and resolving any issues promptly
Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health & safety regulations, and company policies
Organise promotional events or themed nights to increase patronage and enhance the pub’s reputation
Monitor inventory levels and liaise with suppliers to ensure timely procurement of stock

Experience

Proven supervisory experience within a restaurant, bar, or hospitality setting
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations
Experience in managing teams effectively within a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
Previous experience in food production or culinary roles is highly desirable
Familiarity with hospitality industry practices such as serving, bar management, and customer relations.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork

This role is ideal for a proactive individual with a passion for the hospitality industry who thrives in a leadership position. The successful candidate will be committed to delivering excellent service while maintaining operational excellence across all aspects of pub management.

Pay: From £42,000.00 per year
