Full job description

Marketing Manager

UPE Outdoors (a division of UPE Engineering) is looking for an experienced Marketing Manager with a proven track record of growing brand awareness, increasing sales, and delivering successful marketing strategies within the outdoor, leisure, or lifestyle sectors.

We represent a portfolio of premium fishing, camping and campervan brands, including two brands that we proudly manufacture ourselves here in the UK. Alongside supplying these brands to a growing network of trade customers, we also sell directly to consumers through our own retail outlet, Prolite Explorer, giving us a unique blend of B2B and B2C marketing opportunities.

We are looking for a commercially minded, self-motivated individual who can take ownership of our marketing strategy, develop our brands and help drive the next stage of growth across the business.

The Role

As our Marketing Manager, you will lead and support a small team of enthusiastic content creators, helping to develop their skills while ensuring all marketing activity is aligned with our wider business goals.

Using strategy, analytics and exceptional industry knowledge, you will plan and deliver marketing campaigns across multiple brands, including product launches, events, exhibitions, retail promotions and ongoing sales activity.

You will be responsible for identifying opportunities, analysing performance and ensuring our marketing activity consistently delivers measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement marketing strategies across multiple outdoor brands.
Manage, support and train a small team of content creators.
Plan and deliver campaigns for product launches, events, promotions and seasonal activity.
Work closely with sales, product development and retail teams.
Manage social media, email marketing, digital campaigns and content planning.
Use analytics and reporting to measure performance and improve ROI.
Help shape brand direction and identify new opportunities for growth.
Coordinate marketing activity across both our trade and direct-to-consumer channels.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

Proven experience managing marketing campaigns with measurable commercial results.
Experience within the outdoor, leisure, fishing, camping or lifestyle sectors (highly desirable).
Experience managing or mentoring a creative/content team.
Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media, paid advertising and content strategy.
The ability to use data and analytics to make informed decisions.
Excellent organisation, communication and project management skills.
A creative mindset combined with a strong commercial understanding.
A genuine passion for the outdoors and the products our customers use.
